Mr. and Mrs. Macari, a young couple from a small village in the Val Comino mountains, left their homeland in search of hope and opportunity.

In 1958, they arrived on Irish shores and began their new journey in the land known as the Emerald Isle. Just one year later, in 1959, they opened their first shop — the beginning of a legacy built on hard work, dedication, and a passion for great food.

With strong values and a deep work ethic, Mr. Macari passed his knowledge and love for the trade to his children. In 2001, that legacy continued when a father-and-daughter team proudly opened Macari’s Ratoath.

Today, we continue that tradition as a husband-and-wife team, still guided by the same family spirit and commitment to quality. We remain a proud, family-run business — well known for serving the tastiest food to the town of Ratoath, Co. Meath.
